Holiday fun

Hi guys! Sorry it's a late one, I did say I was going to post my holiday blog yesterday but I was super busy, and I still haven't finished packing for my holiday. So I'm leaving in 2 days for a 4 night stay in Spain, Marbella, and yes, I am taking 2 suitcases with me! I come with a lot of baggage ehe. I did a huge shopping spree yesterday and ended up spending triple the amount I paid for my actual holiday - oops. Here is a sneak peak of a few of my favourite buys.

The 2 Celeb Boutique bags is storing my new favourite heels and dress. That outfit you will see on a later blog, can't wait to show you all!
A sneaky peak of one of my outfits for my nights out. A bright orange flowery skater dress is perfect for a night out in the glamorous Marbella, team it with a gold weaved clutch bag and gold jewllery. Pretty and glam!
Light/nude coloured shoes for a holiday is a must. Plus it goes with everything.
Starting left to right: You need a 'going out' pair which you don't mind getting dirty - I've only paid £19.99 for those. Considering that I'll only be there for 4 nights, white high heeled wedges will go ideally with any outfit!
A pair for 'day wear' this colour needs to be subtle and with a small wedge it keeps everything comfy.
A pair of flat sandals - for those 'just incases' when the feet hurt too much, just a simple design is perfect.
Finally some wedged sandals - these are super comfy and a must for all those beach parties!
Summer is all about the bright flowery outfits - when else would you wear them huh?!

This bag is amazing for the beach. It's cheap, it's big, it's bright! From H&M for only £15.99 I can't see why you would not buy it. The bag reminds me of the style of the Long Champ bags and I've always wanted to buy one, but now I've spotted this affordable beauty, it has quickly become one of my favourite buys of the day!
We like a bit of mixing and matching! I don't always like to go for bikini's that have same prints for both bikini top and bottom. A little bit of buying from here and buying from there to create your own piece is great!
At only £19.99 from New Look you really can't go wrong! It's white and fabric so it will get dirty easily, so instead of buying something expensive I've opted for chic, cute wedges which I can chuck after if they don't make it!
Every girl has to buy a pair of ruched bikini bottoms - it's this summers must buy! Yes, they make your bums look perky and round and juiiiicy, yum!
The bikini's from Victoria's Secret come at a costly price for £44.50 for one bikini top! I know what you're thinking - are you mad? Nope! They give you great comfort and are so beautiful on. They both have a frilly trim which is my favourite part, making it cute and sexy. The white one has a lot of detail to it which I wish I could show you properly as the picture does not justify how pretty the pattern is. The colourful one is always going to be great, it's summer, we need bright bold colours!

So here are only a handful of items I am taking. I have absolutely loads of clothes stuffed in to 2 suitcases, and I am only going for 4 nights! If you like any thing you've seen here I have posted a list of the items and where you can buy them from. Make sure you check the blog out at the end of next week to see me in all my holiday outfits.

Can't wait for some sun!

Review: Benefit they're real! mascara

Hi every one! Please excuse my hand in the picture (My hand looks like it's a bird!) I recently bought Benefit's They're Real mascara to try out as apparently it is UK's no.1 best selling mascara! Like most Oriental's I have short fine eyelashes and I tend to wear false lashes rather than wearing mascara because mascara really doesn't help that much. There's also that problem when after applying the mascara (as it can be really wet and thick) my eyelashes just drop - even when I've curled my eyelashes first! Does this situation sound familiar?

So have a look at the results and you decide yourself.

Make sure that you curl your eyelashes first and apply eyeliner if you wear eyeliner, then gently brush the masacara side to side, base to tip and using the rounded tip to then flick the lashes up. The wand has a custom-domed tip which gives you more freedom and lets you brush your lashes in which ever way you want, horizontally, vertically, anything! At £19.50 it is quite a pricey mascara and especially when use to buying high street branded mascara's! The results are satisfactory and really does make my eyelashes longer, but I will show you all another cheat way to producing longer lashes without needing to spend £20 on a mascara in a blog later on!

(So here on the left I am wearing Benefit's mascara and the right is bare - See the difference!)

You can adjust eyelashes and make them look longer just by using your fingers to push it in to the right place or by rolling it.. You'll understand what I mean when you're actually doing it yourself!

Review: NARS matte lips

Okay, so I said I'd review my favourite two new lip tools! I bought them from Selfridges NARS and the lighter colour which is the lipstick is a pure matte lipstick in the colour Peloponnese, and the darker colour which is a velvet matte lip pencil in the colour Walkyrie. I chose these colours because I think it really compliments each other!

So first apply the velvet matte lip liner. Just gently trace your lip line and the lip pencil effortlessly glides onto the lips because it's that perfect! It is one of the best lip liners I've used which is also the easiest to apply, so smooth - I love it! The use of lip liner really evens out the finished look and keeps the colour on for longer.

Afterwards you can just fill it out with the lip pencil but I like to use a lipstick. I like to have a slight contrast because it plumps my lips and makes them look bigger. So I've used the matte lipstick and yet again it is a smooth and easy application. I think that NARS are probably the masters when it comes to matte because the formula is bang on, not too dry on the lips and no need to worry about cracks or needing to always check a mirror because it stays on all day - I've even ate messy foods with it and it still doesn't fade!

I'd definitely recommend any girls to give NARS velvet matte lip pencils and pure matte lipsticks a try.
I just can't believe how long it's taken me to find such a perfect lip pencil and lipstick. The next time I go shopping I am going to raid their store!

The interview

So I went down to London for a day for a fashion PR internship interview. Wow.. I think I have fallen in love with the bustling city life of London. I think I can definitely see myself going down there again very soon. Although I have not mastered getting around on the tube yet... so confusing for my little brain!

For a fashion interview I decided to go smart but stylish at the same time. I wore a black lace trim cami paired with high waisted black tube pants and a bright white blazer to give the whole look some definition. A big smart handbag goes well to keep the style formal enough for a fashion interview! I actually wore flats at the time as I was walking around all day but if at any time, wear heels to keep the look sophisticated and  heels always elongates the legs - why not be taller? I say always choose heels.

Cheers to 21

So I spent my 21st birthday with a friend at Manchester and stayed over night in Hilton hotel! The view is amazing. This is a very quick blog as I am extremely tired from 2 days in Manchester, and I also need some beauty sleep ready for an interview tomorrow. Next stop - London! Wish me luck.

Here is the night out make up look. A few new make up bits. I bought the Chanel Joues contraste powder blush and NARS pure matte lipstick and the velvet matte lip pencil. These are absolute must buys. The matte lipstick takes some getting use to because it feels dry on the lips but the colour is beautiful, plumped by the lip pencil it is match made in heaven. I shall post a product review on them very soon, but they are definitely my new favourites!

That night I wore a navy blue midi dress with black lace. The dress was from the Kardashian collection and hugs the figure really well, even for people who are naturally curvy. It is a really comfortable fit  and ideal for a night out in Cloud 23 ("high-end cocktail bars"). The dress can be bought from Lipsy or Bank, but many other high street stores sells dresses similar to taste. Zara also do very classy lingerie styled dresses in lace and silk, however this dress was bodycon so I didn't feel too overly sexified! Top it off with some mid heel sandals to keep the elegance. My heels are from Kurt Geiger but most high street stores will also sell similar heels at a much cheaper price.

I will be blogging a make up tutorial very soon so anyone can replicate the look. Sorry for some of the photo qualities this time, and some were taken by my phone as the 'camera woman' (friend) is no professional in the area and when I looked back at all the photos on the camera they were blurry. Oops!

Louis Vuitton Speedy Bandouliere

Today's look is a celebration of smart and casual ready for a date with Louis - and here's Louis!

It was a tough choice between the original Speedy from Louis Vuitton or the new design Speedy Bandoulière. In the end I chose the Speedy Bandoulière and I think I have made the right decision. It is a little more expensive than the original Speedy only at £550, but add another £240 for the Bandoulière and you get a detachable adjustable strap, gold zip, and sort of a side strap decor on two sides of the bag. Worth an extra £240! The gold zips and sides to the bag makes it more compelling and adds chic, the multi-use of the straps where you can have a short length, long length, or just clutch by the handles makes it great to use whenever and wherever. So say if your hands will be full on the way to catch a plane, then it's perfect for you to keep it as an across the body bag and so your hands will be free to go crazy with the suitcase and passport. There are no worries with a Speedy Bandoulière! Plenty of space inside the bag for everyday essentials and lots more. This bag is perfect for an everyday look and comes in many different colours, sizes and styles, it's a must buy.

Although, there is one slight problem I have found with it - there is no bag base to keep the shape of the Speedy! I have just padded mine out by sticking my makeup bag sideways in it, my purse and other random bits and bobs, but as you can see it's not really done the trick in the photos. If deciding to buy the Speedy  Bandoulière then make sure you invest in a Speedy Shaper where it will keep the shape of the bag whatever you put inside - or don't put. Ebay sells them at an affordable price, but make sure they're legitimate first!

The start of something new

My first of many entries, and will possibly be one of the most memorable posts I will write, that's because I will be celebrating my 21st birthday with every one here. Happy birthday to me! After 21 years of hopelessly wandering around, I have finally got my two feet firmly on the ground and on the pursuit of happiness. So.. to the start of something new.

So I am a very lucky lady this year and have been very spoilt by my family and friends. Thanking all the people who are in my life right now. Feeling rather soppy today. Here are a few early birthday presents:

(I am not much of a drinker but I have some how received Grey Goose and vintage Moet - I am not complaining!)
